Kids Fun Race
(ages 5-15)
Vermilion:
The Town of Vermilion is 60 Km west of Lloydminster and 190 Km east of Edmonton off Highway 16. Vermilion is a thriving community of approximately 4500 residents, surrounded by rolling farmland and beautiful rural landscape.
Volunteers Needed:
We need volunteers on race day. If you would like to be involved in the race in a volunteer role, we would love to have your help! If you would like to volunteer contact us!
Athletes:
The TriVermilion Adventure Race is open to athletes from beginner to Ironman trained! We welcome participants as young as 16 years old (birthdate determined by the age of the participant as of Dec. 31, of the current year)for the Cross race.

Depending on numbers, we hope to have a kids (ages 5-15) mini fun race (bike and run) take place as well. Registration for this event will be completed on site, between 8:30-10:00 am at the Registration Desk. Please bring cash for this event, as we do not have access to processing plastic.
Schedule:
Transition will open at 8:30am.
Race debrief will be held at 9:30am near the registration area.
Mass start for the long course will be at 10:00 am sharp, at the water's edge. Short course racers will have a mass start following the completion of the first lap by the long course athletes.
Lunch to follow.

Awards:
Awards will be presented to top male, female, and team based on final results. All competitors will have their names entered into draws and will need to be present to win.

Rules:
The TriVermilion Adventure Race is sanctioned under the Alberta Triathlon Association, and conforms to the ITU Competition Rules. All competitors are responsible for knowing and understanding the rules prior to the race.
Relay team participants will exchange their position in Transition. The team cyclist cannot remove their bike from its rack until the paddling member has made contact with them. The cyclist must rack their bike before making contact with the team runner.

Depending on numbers, TriVermilion will offer a kids fun race that will consist of a mini-paddle, bike and run of varying distances.
The Cross race will consist of a long course, or short course, depending on athlete preference.
